Wastewater treatment is a process to separate pollutants from wastewater.
Surely it will generate sludge. Sludge generated from wastewater treatment is generally with moisture >= 99%, i.e. solid content is only 1%, or even less. To lower the cost in sludge disposal, sludge dewatering machine is required to decrease sludge volume. In a wastewater treatment plant, the sludge generally comes from 2 sources.
Source 1:
From pretreatment process like DAF Dissolved Air Flotation Machine and Lamella Clarifier.
Dose Polymer into wastewater to coagulate the micro size solids into large clusters then separate them. The separated solids form the sludge.
Source 2:
The excess activated sludge, from Biological Treatment Equipment.
Feed the excess activated sludge into Sludge Thickening Tank for Anaerobic Sludge Thickening, to decrease sludge volume and to further degrade the solid pollutants finally achieve sludge stabilization.
