Industrial sand filter is an ideal filtration machine which use quartz sand as filtration medium to remove suspended solids & undissolved impurities like dust particles & heavy metals from water to reduce turbidity and TSS.

Considering to ocean transportation, our standard sand filter is designed with diameter from φ800 to φ3000mm and with height from 2860 to 4480mm, these pre-engineered and pre-assembled units minimize installation and start-up costs. Larger size sand filter machine is available, customized service is acceptable. The max. size sand filter machine which can be shipped from Qingdao port is with diameter 3.5m, by using flat rack container.

Raw water access into sand filter by water feeding pump and is channeled to filter top, and then falls on a sand bed. With the pressure and gravity, the water will permeate down through the sand bed. Filtered water then exits through laterals at filter bottom and the trapped dirt on the sand bed is removed via periodic backwashing and infrequent sand replacement.
