Screw filter press is a high efficiency biosolids sludge dewatering machine which is now widely used in wastewater treatment for industries like petrochemical, papermaking, printing and dyeing, leather tanning, etc.

Key parts of this screw filter press are the moving plates and fixed plates: Sludge is firstly fed into a built-in flocculation reaction tank through a screw pump or other sludge feeding pump, dose flocculant here for flocculation reaction for sludge thickening.
The thickened sludge then accesses into the sludge dewatering zone. A rotating screw with spiral blades is inside it, push and squeeze the thickened sludge while rotating. The filtrate will go through the gaps between the moving plates and fixed plates and is then collected. The trapped sludge will be pushed forward to be further dewatered.
