Commonly used chemical dosing machines in wastewater pretreatment process are:
** pH Regulator
** Flocculant Dosing Machine
** Coagulant Dosing Machine
** pH Regulator
In general, emission standards on water pH is 6-9.
If your water pH is not in this range, then you will need to dose acid or alkali to adjust water pH. In this case, an Automatic pH Regulator is necessary. And if flocculation reaction is required in your treatment process, then water pH should be controlled to 7.5-8.5, which is the ideal range for stable and effective performance.
** Flocculant and Coagulant Dosing Machine
If the solids in your water can float or precipitate very fast, then you don't need this two machines. While, the fact is that most kinds of wastewater contains miro-size light-weight solids, these solids neither float not precipitate, they own similar density with water, are just suspended in water. Even though you leave the water there for long time precipitation, the solids are still suspended. In this case, you will need Flocculant and Coagulant Dosing Machine.
Chemical Used for pH Regulation:
Acid: HCL, H2SO4
Alkali: CaO, Ca(OH)2, Na(OH)
Chemical Used for Flocculation:
Flocculant: PAC - Polyaluminum Chloride
Coagulant: PAM - Polyacrylamide
