Dissolved Air Flotation Troubleshooting

Dissolved Air Flotation Troubleshooting:
DAF dissolved air flotation should be regularly checked and maintained, once the machine is in abnormal, troubleshooting should be arranged to remove the faults in time.

1.
Fault: No Air-saturated Water

Fault Appearance:
Water Recirculation Pump Works Properly
Pressure from the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air are Both > 3.5 kg
No Pressure Difference Between the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air

Reason:
Air-saturated Water Releasers are Blocked
Valves of Air-saturated Water Releasers are Closed

Solution:
Clean Air-saturated Water Releasers
Check and Open the Valves of Air-saturated Water Releasers


2.
Fault: No Air-saturated Water

Fault Appearance:
Pressure from the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air are Both > 3.5 kg
Pressure Difference Between the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air is 0.6kg
Air Compressor Keep Running, Never Stop

Reason:
Compressed Air Feed is Not Enough

Solution:
Check the Inlet and Outlet Air Valves of Air Compressor
Check the Piston Ring of Air Compressor
Check and Repair the Leakage of Compressed Air Pipe


3.
Fault: Air-saturated Water Flow is Small

Fault Appearance:
Pressure from the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air are Both > 3.5 kg
Pressure Difference Between the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air is <0.3 kg
Water Recirculation Pump Works Properly

Reason:
Air-saturated Water Releasers are Blocked

Solution:
Clean Air-saturated Water Releasers


4.
Fault: Air-saturated Water Flow is Small

Fault Appearance:
Pressure from the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air are Both <3.0 kg
Pressure Difference Between the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air is 0.6kg
Water Recirculation Pump Works Properly
The Valve after Water Recirculation Pump is fully Opened

Reason:
Water Inlet of Water Recirculation Pump is Blocked
Impeller of Water Recirculation Pump is Blocked

Solution:
Clean the Water Inlet and Impeller of Water Recirculation Pump


5.
Fault: Air-saturated Water Flow is Normal in the Beginning, but No Air-saturated Water any more After Half an Hour.

Fault Appearance:
Pressure from the 2 Pressure Gage of Recirculated Water and Compressed Air are Both > 3.5 kg
Water Recirculation Pump Works Properly
Air Compressor can be Turned On/Off Normally in Manual Mode, but It can't Work in Auto Mode

Reason:
Air Compressor Control System is in Fault

Solution:
Check and Confirm Switch of Manual/Auto is in Right Position
Check Whether the Automatic Control Circuit Fall Off


6.
Fault: Water Recirculation Pump Stops Automatically After Start-up

Fault Appearance:
Water Recirculation Pump Stops Automatically after Working a Peroid of Time
Turn on Water Recirculation Pump Again, but AC Contactor Doesn't Work

Reason:
The Setting of Protection Current of Thermorelay is Improper

Solution:
Adjust Protection Current of Thermorelay
Press the Reset Button of Thermorelay


7.
Fault: After Being Unused for a Long Period of Time, DAF Machine Stops Immediately After Startup

Fault Appearance:
Press the Start Button, Dissolved Air Flotation Can Start
DAF Machine Stops Immediately Once Releasing the Start Button

Reason:
The Self-protection Wire Falls Off
Contact Resistance of Contactor is Too Large

Solution:
Connect the Self-protection Wire
Remove the Contact Resistance in Contactor of Self-protection.
