Should I choose Dissolved Air Flotation or Lamella Clarifier?

Air Flotation and Precipitation are the two major technologies to remove TSS - Total Suspended Solids from wastewater to purify water, they are both commonly used in pretreatment process. Many clients are confused that: which one should I choose?

It is depending on the specific gravity of solids in your water:
Water specific gravity is 1.0, if specific gravity of solids in your water is >1.0, the solids will precipitate automatically. Inclined lamella inside lamella clarifier will speed on the precipitation speed to purify water in short time. In this case you should choose: Lamella Clarifier.

If specific gravity of solids in your water is >1.0, or is near to 1.0, the solids will float to water surface automatically or be suspended in water, then you should choose: DAF Dissolved Air Flotation Machine.

DAF machine will release millions of tiny bubbles under water, these bubbles will attach to the solids and cause them to float to water surface where they are retained.
